Office LOG collaborated with artist Shuang Li on the exhibition architecture for Alliance at Kim Association, Singapore. The project was developed in parallel with Li’s new multi channel film and focuses on constructing a spatial system defined by compression and velocity.

The installation consists of a suspended ceiling structure held in tension by steel cables and stabilized through the placement of screens presenting the film. The screens operate simultaneously as display surfaces and structural components, a ceiling field where architecture and media are materially interdependent. Rather than functioning as a neutral support, the architecture actively organizes circulation, sightlines, and bodily proximity to the work. The work is accessed by looking up, positioning the viewer in a similar optical condition to the storm chaser: oriented toward instability rather than ground.

Custom seating was developed as part of the architectural system. Constructed from PVC pipes ratchet strapped together, the benches adopt a language of temporary infrastructure.

Titled after a rail town in Nebraska, Alliance situates the project within a logic of circulation and throughput. In the context of Singapore’s optimized urban systems, the exhibition architecture reads as a compact model of contemporary spatial production: suspended, efficient, and continuously negotiated.
